"In the verses in question, the high clouds clearly refer to mountains of ice, or to other interpretations of mountains in which there is a kind of ice and it is very interesting. Because after the invention of the airplane and the possibility of long flights, which expanded the scope of human knowledge, scientists reached clouds formed and hidden by ice needles. Which are rightly called mountains of ice and is still strange that one of the Soviet scientists (Russia) in the description of storm clouds, mentioned them several times as "mountains of clouds" or "mountains of snow". In this way it becomes clear that there are indeed mountains in the sky which exists from ice".

The commentators also have different statements on the meaning of "mountains" as follows:

1- Some have said "mountains" here has a metaphorical aspect. That is, just as we say a mountain of food, or a mountain of knowledge, the contents of the above verse will also is the same. In fact, a huge mass of hail is created by the clouds in the heart of the sky. Some part of it falls in the city and some other part in the desert.

2- Some others have said that the meaning of mountains is huge masses of clouds that are as big as mountains.

3- The author of the interpretation of "Fi-Zalal" here has another statement that seems more appropriate: the cloud masses in the middle of the sky are really like mountains, although they seem flat when we look at them from below. But those who have flown above the clouds with their own eyes have often seen this scene with their own eyes that the clouds look like mountains, valleys, lowlands and heights on the earth. [1]
